These vegan tacos are nothing to laugh about! Loaded with protein and flavour, these low calorie, low fat and animal friendly tacos will leave your taste buds singing and your conscience clear!
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp light oil (such as avocado)
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 block extra firm tofu, drained
- 3/4 cup salsa
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the oil and spices in a large bowl.
- Crumble the block of tofu with your hand into the bowl with the oil and spices and stir until the tofu is coated.
- Spread the tofu out on the parchment lined tray and bake for 30-35 minutes, stirring the tofu every once in a while to make sure that it is evenly browning.
- Remove the tofu crumble from the oven and add to a preheated pan with 3/4 cup of salsa. Adding more salsa if you want, depending on how watery your salsa is, or how moist you want it. Heat through and serve!
Note: This is great on a soft or hard taco with chopped tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and avocado or whatever taco toppings you enjoy!
